Ask Aegex about our event with Verizon and Nokia that demonstrated cutting edge IoT solutions! If you attended Operation Convergent Response (#OCR2017) at the Guardian Centers, June 7-8, you know what a thrill it was to see the latest Internet of Things and emergency response solutions being tested live in mock disaster scenarios. If you missed it, you can see some exciting footage in our “Gallery,” or check out Aegex social media posts (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Instagram) tagged with #OCR2017. Working with Verizon, Nokia and more than 40 other technology providers on this event helped Aegex demonstrate how our intrinsically safe IoT solutions can help manage disaster recovery but also improve everyday operations through pervasive real-time communications, artificial intelligence and machine learning. Some lessons learned from #OCR2017 include:
  1. An Internet of Things strategy doesn’t have to be complicated; it can begin by simply connecting people and things with tablets and sensors (ones that are intrinsically safe and can be used anywhere in hazardous, explosive environments).
  2. Even the collection of seemingly simple data (e.g., weather, gases, temp, air pressure, etc.), when analyzed together in an operational context, can form an important vision of overall performance, detection of potential risk and prevention of problems.
  3. Bringing together multiple technology partners to improve various parts of an IoT solution can have profound results for large, meta-scale projects.
  4. Preparing for disaster - under pressure and with limited immediate resources and multiple actors - is a great way to prepare for real, everyday challenges in industry; technology is a useful and critical component of this preparation.
#OCR2017 proved that IoT can help manage staged crises. Let Aegex show you what IoT can do for real operations!
