Aegex Scheduling Meetings at SAP-Sponsored Conference in Houston, Sept. 22-25

ATLANTA, GA—(Marketwired - September 17, 2015) - Aegex Technologies, LLC, a developer of intrinsically safe mobile solutions for hazardous location industries, will be attending the Best Practices for Oil & Gas Conference in Houston, Sept. 22-25, 2015. Aegex representatives will be scheduling meetings during the event with potential partners and customers interested in Windows 10 tablets for C1D1 and Zone 1 hazardous locations. Aegex is seeking technology, distribution and strategic alliance partners, as well as independent software vendors and systems integrators, to further enhance, market and sell its devices that are part of a unified platform for mobile communications in hazardous locations. Unlike traditional mobile devices that carry a risk of igniting a spark, the 10.1-inch Aegex tablets are purpose-built intrinsically safe, meaning they are incapable of igniting a fire or explosion. They can be deployed in multiple zones of hazardous locations where high concentrations of flammable gases, vapors or dusts are present, such as oil and gas operations. The tablets will be universally certified for C1D1, ATEX Zone 1, and IECEx Zone 1 HazLoc areas. The Best Practices conference in Houston, which highlights innovative ideas for all facets of the oil and gas industry and features George W. Bush as a special guest, will include workshops on the “integrated digital oilfield.” This concept encompasses the ways in which new technologies—such as Aegex intrinsically safe tablets are bringing cloud computing and real-time connectivity to oil and gas operations. “Aegex’s complete Windows-based solution that can be used almost anywhere in a hazardous location worksite is a prime example of the technologies that are transforming the oil and gas world,” said Kevin Smith, Aegex’s director of business development and applications. “With Aegex intrinsically safe tablets, personnel can seamlessly share data, using customizable industry apps, from within some of the most explosive zones of their upstream, midstream and downstream operations.” The Aegex 10 Intrinsically Safe tablet is customizable for any role a hazardous location operation, from personnel in the most explosive zones to off-site command centers. In addition to running enterprise applications like Windows 10, organizations can select task-specific accessories from the Aegex portfolio to tailor the tablets for their particular workforce needs. The annual Houston conference is a collaboration among SAP, The Eventful Group and Americas’ SAP Users’ Group (ASUG). Visit http://sap-oil-and-gas.com/ogna.
