Operation Convergent Response 2018 (#OCR2018), sponsored by Verizon and Nokia in collaboration with Guardian Centers and Aegex Technologies, featured realistic disaster scenarios in which emergency personnel demonstrated innovative technologies that help improve response and save lives. Catch a glimpse of the Earthquake and Structural Collapse scenario in this video.
aegex10 Intrinsically Safe Tablets featured prominently in the Earthquake scenario, where participants used them to visualize real-time sensor data, precise GPS locations of emergency responders in the wreckage, live overhead drone video and other applications. Aegex NexVu IoT Sensor Modules were also used in the Earthquake scenario to capture information bout critical conditions, including gas leaks and possible aftershocks.
Aegex intrinsically safe devices were deployed in six #OCR2018 crisis scenarios to enable first responders to quickly assess each disaster and mobilize rescue and recovery activities. Aegex devices are safe to operate in crisis situations because they are purpose-built and certified for use in potentially combustible environments such as may exist during emergencies.
